The first time I tried a BLT was in Vancouver and it was amazing! Luckily this delicious snack isn’t too hard to make:
- Sandwich Bread
- Tomatoes (Sliced)
- BACON BACON BACON!
The trick is: Put the lettuce on the toasted bread, add the sliced tomatoes and fried bacon and only then put on the mayonnaise. That one is followed by another layer of lettuce and the other half of the bread! Why? The lettuce provides the bread from being squishy due to the mayonnaise, tomato juice and fat! It’s the moisture-barrier of sandwiches!
